
The Westover Animal Clinic staff is well-trained and equipped to deal with any emergencies that occur during our business hours. Please note that in accordance with standard industry practice, we do charge an additional emergency fee for walk-in emergencies. Here are some general guidelines to follow when dealing with unexpected emergency situations that occur outside of our normal office hours:
If your pet is eating and drinking, and the problem has been going on for several days, you can wait until the following morning to call us and make an appointment.
If your pet has vomited or had diarrhea but is still bright and alert, s/he can wait until the following morning. Remove all food and water, and call for an appointment first thing in the morning.
If your pet is unstable (unconscious, unable to walk, bleeding, etc.), and you need immediate care outside our normal business hours, there are three 24-hour emergency facilities available:
